First, don’t panic. Losing your Medicare card happens more often than people think, and there are steps you can take to replace it.
If you have a **my Social Security** account, you can log in and request a replacement Medicare card or print an official copy.
You can also contact Social Security and request that a replacement card be mailed to you.
If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan or a Part D prescription drug plan, keep in mind that you may also have a separate member ID card from that plan.
That is often the card you use when you visit the doctor, hospital, pharmacy, or other provider.
